We all want to live a long and happy life. The bad news is that with age come increased risk factors for some diseases. But then again the good news is that our lifestyle can reduce some risk factors. It is well known that growing older increases the possibility of developing macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataracts. And if you have diabetes, the odds of developing eye complications are increased.
In recent years scientists have found connections between cardiovascular health and eye diseases such as macular degeneration and cataracts. The British Journal of Ophthalmology reported that having plaque buildup in the coronary arteries raises the risk of developing macular degeneration.
There also appears to be a link between mild retinopathy (damage to the retina) and brain health.
Improved Eye Health
Age Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD or AMD) is the deterioration of the central focus region of the back of the eye, called the macula. It is called "age related" because generally it occurs in both men and women over the age of 50. AMD causes a loss of vision in the center of the visual field. Imagine a penny taped to the center of your glasses, poor central vision but better peripheral vision. The disease can advance to legal blindness, making it hard to recognize faces and colors causing difficulty when driving and reading.
The macula, also called the "yellow spot," contains high levels of the pigments lutein and zeaxanthin. High levels of lutein in the macula absorb blue light which is believed to be the most damaging of lights. Our cell phones, laptops and tablets may expose us to extra doses of blue light.
Unfortunately our bodies do not make lutein, and most people do not eat enough daily servings of deep green vegetables needed to get enough lutein. The American Optometric Association points out that of the 600 carotenoids found in nature, only lutein and zeaxanthin are deposited in great quantities in the macula of the eye. Consuming lutein and zeaxanthin may also help prevent cataracts.
Diet Changes That Reduce Risk
The Melaleuca Wellness Guide tells us that a major contributor to eye challenges is the typical high-fat, high-sugar, preservative-laden American diet. Eating high glycemic foods such as cakes, cookies, white bread, potatoes and sugar-sweetened foods may quickly raise blood sugar and, according to a study reported in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, those who ate the most high-glycemic foods had a significant increased risk of developing macular degeneration compared to those who ate a healthier diet. Interestingly, the people who participated in this study did not have diabetes.
Antioxidants are very necessary to protect the eyes against free radical damage from smoke, pollution, and light itself. The Melaleuca Wellness Guide suggest taking NutraView, which contains the research-recommended 10mg of lutein, and 2mg zeaxanthin, plus a powerful antioxidant combination of blueberry and bilberry extract, which is believed to improve night vision.
Grape seed extract is known to help improve vascular-related conditions, diabetic retinopathy, and improve night vision. Patented ProvexCV contains grape seeds, anthocyanin-rich grape skins, resveratrol at research-recommended levels, quercetin, green tea extract, and bromelain.
As For The Good News
We can reduce our disease risk factors by not smoking and avoiding second hand smoke. To help avoid age-related eye conditions, make sure to get the recommended amounts of lutein and zeaxanthin as found in NutraView. Maintaining a healthy weight, and consuming a nutritious diet, can help us stay more active as we age. Now that is good news!

I have two testimonials about NutraView.....My customer in Texas has macular degeneration, and doctors regularly treat her for it. She started taking NutraView and her doctor asked her what she was doing differently, and she showed him her NutraView and brochure about it. He was very impressed as he had never seen a reversal of the degeneration process before. Also another customer's mother-in-law had been receiving shots in her eye. She started taking NutraView and as long as she faithfully takes them, no shots in her eyes are required. Her doctor too is amazed at this product. In addition, my mentors have similar testimonials of the reversal of macular degeneration by some of their customers as well. I am taking it as a precautionary measure against developing cataracts. Thanks
I wore bifocals before I was two and had weekly eye treatments, wore reading glasses in high school, prism bifocals in college, and then contacts and reading glasses ever since. My 65-year-old friend told me that she no longer needed her reading glasses after she started taking NutraView. Because of my poor vision, I didn't expect great results. However, I took it because my mother had macular degeneration, and I wanted to prevent it. I have now taken NutraView faithfully for four years and the results are spectacular! I seldom need my reading glasses. I no longer have trouble with glare driving at night, and the prescription for my contacts has been reduced three steps! My optometrist has noted in my chart what I am taking because 60-year-olds do not typically have improvements in their vision! Thank you NutraView!
I've been a Type 1 Diabetic (what used to be called "Juvenile" Diabetes) for 37 years. One of the many known disabling complications of diabetes is problems with the eyes, often leading to total blindness. I was on the path to complete blindness, just because of the amount of time I've been diabetic, following the birth of my son, who just turned 11 years old. After many laser treatments and laser surgeries, and still facing the possibility of complete blindness, I started taking the NutraView shortly after I was introduced to it. The last time I had to go to my retinologist was in 2010! If it weren't for the Peak Performance Total, including the NutraView, I'd still be facing the possibility of complete diabetic retinopathy and blindness. Now I don't have to worry about that complication anymore at all!
Our eyes are so very important! I have been taking NutraView now for many years and sure would never do without it. I have my eyes checked yearly and most of the times, even though I am 82, I rarely need a change in my prescription. My ophthalmologist is one of my Melaleuca preferred customers and he too believes in NutraView. Sincerely,
I hear that a lot of people get eye infections from their makeup, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara and creams. I have been using Melaleuca's eye liner and mascara for years with NO harmful effects! They glide on and look great! Then, at night I use the Night Recovery Eye Creme after I use the Dual-Phase Eye Makeup Remover! No animal testing, no formaldehyde and no harsh chemicals! Gotta love online shopping to my doorstep.
